with minimal state regulation.

If we start home schooling
and it doesn't work out, can my child return to the public school or another
institutional school?
Yes. ArabesQ Academy maintains
all student records and issues report cards and transcripts (when appropriate)
and grade placement information upon request.
Can our family follow
a Secular curriculum instead of ArabesQ Academy's Islamic Choices?
Yes, definitely, but we ask
you to consider this carefully.
When I was in my previous
school, I earned some low grades and failed some classes. Can
I raise those grades through ArabesQ Academy?
Credits and marks earned
at a previous school cannot be changed. However, credits can be replaced
when you earn the same credit a second time. Only the second mark will
appear on your ArabesQ Academy transcript. In many cases, less than 180
hours work is necessary to replace a credit.
Do ArabesQ Academy students
go on to college?
Yes. A very large percentage
of each graduating class go on to four-year colleges and universities.
Are ArabesQ Academy credits
accepted by public schools, private schools, colleges/universities?
ArabesQ Academy's credits
are accepted by public schools, other private schools, colleges, universities..
There is, of course, there isn't an automatic guarantee that credits will
be accepted because public and nonpublic schools are free to accept or
reject the credits bestowed by other schools.
How long must I be enrolled
in ArabesQ Academy before I can graduate?
There is no minimum requirement
except for incoming students who wish to graduate early (prior to age 17);
a minimum of two years enrollment is required in those cases.
Can I get a state endorsed
diploma when I graduate from ArabesQ Academy?
Like many private schools,
ArabesQ Academy does not participate in the state endorsed diploma program.
I can't afford alot of
books but how can I learn if I don't use textbooks?
Textbooks serve a useful
purpose in many subjects, the college prep series in math in particular.
Textbooks, however, can be confining when a student could be exploring
a lake or wetland for biology or visiting city hall or the state capital
for government. If you have access to a good library and computer
ArabesQ Academy's on line classes are reasonable and very effective..
