Credits & Graduation

Completion of 24 credits is required for graduation at the High School level. One credit is awarded for completion of one full year's course work in a subject at a minimum mastery level of 80%. A student's credits can be easily transferred from another school. For Art, Tajweed and Physical Education, one credit is awarded for every 180 hours of verified participation. Participation is documented on forms and submitted to ArabesQ Islamic  Academy for verification after completing a 90 hour block.   

Work at your own pace! No time limit is imposed on the completion of course work, but we encourage and support our students in accelerating progress as appropriate. Note that most colleges and universities place a high value on entrance tests such as the SAT and ACT. To maximize preparation for these examinations, ArabesQ Islamic  Academy strongly recommends that a student complete all core academic subjects plus additional electives in literature, math, science and foreign language. Developing solid study habits and research methodology skills will also enhance success at the university level. Equipped with this preparation, ArabesQ Islamic  Academy graduates will typically score very well on college entrance examinations.
