Parents & Learning In our experience, the active involvement of a parent or sponsoring adult is vital to the successful learning of a student. The parent must commit to learning along with their children. No longer can learning Qur'an and the Sunnah be a separate subject. We must live it in order for our children to learn it. The sponsoring adult commits to provide supplemental support to the student for illustration of important principles and clarification of particularly difficult concepts. At a minimum, we recommend students plan for three to four hours of study per day working around your family schedule, to achieve typical learning progress in the core subjects o Qur'an (Science), Islamic Studies, Math, Arabic/English Language programs, with an additional two to three hours per day reserved for supplemental activities (such as physical education, art, tajweed/recitation, etc.) needed for completion of a grade level
