Mashaallah!!! I am glad you decided to follow the first rule, which was to read the rules before you go on. They're quite simple really --
1. Talk to your parents about when and how long you can visit us.
We don't want you to get in trouble because you're having so much fun visiting.
2. Don't go to any other site without their permission.
We don't want you to get in trouble because you said you were visiting us and went somewhere else. (Lying is NOT a good thing!!!)
3. Don't tell anyone your address, telephone number or any other personal information without your parents permission.
There are some not so nice people on (and off) the Internet. We want you to be as safe as possible, inshaallah.
4. Tell your parents RIGHT AWAY if you come across any information that makes you feel uncomfortable.
We do our best to keep and eye on things going on at O MY, but unfortunately sometimes the unexpected pops up. We want you to enjoy to your stay with us. If something makes you feel uncomfortable tell your parents so they can contact us.
5. Don't EVER NEVER EVER EVER agree to get together with someone you meet online without first checking with your parents.
This one we can't stress enough. If your parents say it's okay, then make sure you take Umm, Abba or BOTH along and meet the person in a public place.
6. Don't send anyone your picture or anything else without first checking with your parents.
Like we said, there are some not so nice people in this world and we want you to be safe.
7. Don't respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make you feel uncomfortable.
It is not your fault if you get a message like that. If you do, tell your parents right away so that they can contact let us know and we will do what we can to help solve the problem.
These rules are to help you be safe online, whether it's @ O MY or anywhere else.
